Thrustmaster, New York, September 29, 2005 — With its strong expertise in audio products, Thrustmaster – the game console accessories manufacturer – is rolling out a new range of audio accessories for the PSP™ console this year, following the release of its 2.1 and 5.1 Sound System multiplatform speaker kits.

"The PSP is a veritable multimedia center," explains Laurent Derennes, Development Director at Thrustmaster. "The functions that will be used most revolve around sound, whether in terms of movies or music. Thrustmaster's audio know-how has enabled us to devise innovative solutions not only to provide PSP users with high-quality sound, but also to open up new avenues for using their device, all without detracting from the console's autonomy or portability."

Thrustmaster has come up with two solutions: one allowing users to share their listening experience with friends in the most compact form possible (the Power & Sound Station), and another to turn their PSP into a real mini home theater stationary unit on which they can enjoy watching films and listening to music files (the 2 in 1 Sound System).

The Ferrari GT 2-in-1 Force Feedback will be available as of the end of September 2005 at a suggested retail price of €69.99, VAT included.

With its detachable satellite speakers, the 2 in 1 Sound System easily transforms the PSP into a real mini home theater system, ideal for a perfect sound ambiance and great listening comfort to enjoy films and audio whether on vacation, when traveling or of course in any room at home. The ability to connect another audio source such as an MP3 player adds to the possibilities for use. The docking station has been carefully designed and is very stable. The kit also comes with rechargeable batteries that can be recharged via the PSP's power adapter, allowing it to function without taking away from the console's autonomy. The 2 in 1 Sound System includes a battery charge level indicator and an on/off switch. The included carrying case allows users to bring their system with them wherever they go and is very practical, just like the console it has been designed for. This product will be available from October 2005 at a suggested retail price of €29.99, VAT included.

The Power & Sound Station is the portable solution par excellence. A compact unit with speakers integrated into the recharging base, a USB power cable which allows users to recharge the console via a computer or in a car with the included cigarette lighter adapter, the Power & Sound Station is the ideal travel companion for the PSP. The unit's blue lighting adds a touch of fun. The additional headphone jack adds a whole new dimension to travel: travelers can watch movies and clips together without disturbing other passengers. A handy switch changes from the sound function to the charge function. This product will be available from October 2005 at a suggested retail price of €19.99, VAT included.
