THRUSTMASTER’S PARTNERS THE VIRTUAL RED ARROWS TEAM UP WITH THE ROYAL AIR FORCE RED ARROWS IN A LONG-AWAITED WORLD FIRST!

London, April 6, 2019 — What happens when masters of the virtual skies get together with some of the real world’s very best pilots? That’s the intriguing question surrounding the historic event set to take place, where Thrustmaster’s longtime partners the Virtual Red Arrows will meet face to face with their illustrious progenitors — the Royal Air Force’s famed aerobatics display team, known far and wide as the Red Arrows.

A meeting for the ages
The Virtual Red Arrows owe their existence and everything they do to the RAF Red Arrows, who have always served as their inspiration. The Virtual Red Arrows’ mission is to replicate their real-world counterparts’ aerobatic maneuvers and exploits as accurately as possible — with a degree of attention to detail that even the Red Arrows themselves find awe-inspiring. This incredible precision is made possible by the elite virtual team’s use of flight sim products crafted by Thrustmaster — the worldwide leader in joysticks, and a strong supporter of the Virtual Red Arrows for years now. The event taking place on April 9, 2019 is an eagerly-anticipated world first, bringing together these two top-flight organizations for a closer look at what each of them do, what the similarities are and how their skills and experiences differ. So strap yourselves in, because it’s going to be an amazing ride!

On hallowed ground
A RAF Red Arrows pilot met the Virtual Red Arrows at Thrustmaster’s booth at the RIAT (Royal International Air Tattoo) last July, and got a chance to try out flight simulation firsthand — including in virtual reality. This time around all members of both squadrons will be on hand in a truly legendary location: RAF Scampton, the Royal Air Force station in Lincolnshire, England. Full immersion in virtual aerobatics will be the order of the day, with cutting-edge setups from Thrustmaster — including the HOTAS Warthog joystick/throttles combo and revolutionary TPR rudder — being used by these real and virtual flight experts.
Stay tuned for a first look at this exciting event!
