RENNES, FRANCE July 16, 2020 — Thrustmaster® today announced a major partnership with Xperi, makers of the game-changing DTS® Headphone:X® immersive audio technology. The partnership will result in huge benefits for PC and Xbox gamers looking to amplify their gaming and video content with immersive, ultra-realistic sound and pinpoint precision in fast-paced multiplayer gaming.

The initial partnership release includes instant access to DTS® Headphone:X® (a $20 value) with all purchases in the USA of Thrustmaster’s two officially licensed headsets, developed for the intense gameplay of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege. The value-targeted headsets are permanently marked down over 40% off at T.Assault Siege Collection Edition is marked down to $57.99 and the Y-300CPX Siege Collection Edition is available for just $34.99.

Thrustmaster and DTS will extend the partnership through the end of 2020 to include many of their other non-7.1 gaming headsets.

“We developed many of our gaming headsets with value-conscious gamers in mind,” said Gilles Raulet, Director of Development for Thrustmaster hardware. “But today as gamers spend more time with their headphones on, we wanted to offer a full immersive experience for those who can’t afford a 7.1 headset, but still want 3D audio precision for first person shooters and blockbuster movies. And there is simply no better spatial technology than DTS Headphone:X.”

DTS Headphone:X technology amplifies gaming audio using Microsoft Spatial sound within Windows to render sounds above, around and close to the user. The technology is available for PC Gaming via the Microsoft Store and launched for Xbox consoles on July 9, 2020.

“DTS Headphone:X offers gamers who use non-surround sound headsets the competitive edge they need in today’s intense gaming environment,” said Matthew Byrne, senior vice president and general manager of Xperi’s mobile business. “Thrustmaster makes some of the industry’s best value-focused headsets, which made them the perfect partner for us. Together we hope to offer unmatched end-to-end audio quality to all gamers, regardless of their hardware budget.”
