DAVID PEREL IS THRUSTMASTER’S NEW RACING AMBASSADOR!

Nürburgring, August 30, 2019 — Thrustmaster is proud to announce that driver David Perel is now an official ambassador in the racing category. Fans of the world's leading brand in gaming racing wheels will be able to draw on the experience and advice of an experienced real-world driver who’s also a great simracing enthusiast!

The obvious choice

David is currently the official Rinaldi Racing driver, behind the wheel of a Ferrari 488 GT3 in the GT Open and Blancpain GT championships. The 34-year-old South African driver started racing at the age of 15. After a strong start, he has continued his success with high-flying performances such as the lap record at the Spa Francorchamps GT3 in 2018, the Pro AM victory in the Spa 24 Hours, Blancpain Sprint AM Champion and Blancpain Endurance AM Champion in 2017, and 1st place at Brands Hatch in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe Race 1 in 2019... David has always been passionate about racing games. His dual role in the real world and the virtual world logically led to a partnership with Thrustmaster, especially for the T-GT racing wheel, which David has a lot of experience with.

A shared passion

David is a very talented driver with a passion for racing and sim racing. His expertise and enthusiasm will be a great benefit not only to our brand but also to all our racing fans, as he will provide them with valuable advice to help them perform even better,” says Eric Mindjimba, e-Sport International Team Manager for Thrustmaster. David is also excited about this new partnership: “My passion for gaming is taking on a whole new dimension, as I am fortunate enough to have become an ambassador for Thrustmaster, a brand I had already been using personally even before we first met. I hope to embody the intersection between the real and the virtual worlds, to better connect with car racing fans.”
